We have a mania today of other books. You walk down to the Christian book store and you will find seventy-five to one-hundred books on marriage. They are all different, they all have different approaches, they all have different methods and different messages that they want to convey to you. Some are good, some are not even scriptural. Francis Fenelon in the early part of the reformation of the church wrote, "Why do we spend all of our time at the aqueduct when we have access to the perennial Spring itself?". This is what we tend to do, we get away from God's Word and go to the aqueduct. We go to some other souce when in fact God has already given us the handbook on life, the Bible. 

Relationships are like life, in that we make many mistakes. The truley wise man finds it's how we deal with our mistakes that brings success or failure. Paul tells husbands to honor (cherish) our wives as Christ did the Church, and to wash her in the Word (Eph. 5:25-29). Wives, Paul tells you to pray for your husbands so he may be a Godly man.
